In this capacity, he oversaw the purchasing department in Atlanta and managed customer service operations. His strategic oversight extended to teams in both Atlanta and Texas, demonstrating his ability to lead diverse groups effectively. From 2015 to 2019, Mr. Marx was the executive director of operations, where he was pivotal in modernizing business practices by implementing new software and promotional strategies.
Mr. Marx’s career at Piedmont National began in 2011 when he assumed the strategic planning director role. Over three years, he honed his skills in developing long-term business strategies that have contributed significantly to the company’s growth. His expertise in modernizing business operations has been recognized within the industry, earning him a position as an advisory board member for AFFLINK, a division of PFGC, since 2023.
Mr. Marx holds a Master of Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, completed in 2023. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in economics from The University of Georgia in 2011 after attending Pace Academy until 2007. His academic background has been instrumental in his professional achievements, providing a solid foundation for his roles at Piedmont National.
Mr. Marx’s commitment to continuous learning is evident through his certifications, including the Next-Gen Leadership Excellence Certification from Michael J. Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University in 2019 and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Terry College of Business at The University of Georgia in 2017.
