He has served as the chief executive officer of Flood-Con, a stormwater management company, since 2016. Before accepting a position with Flood-Con, he was a corporate partner with Gonzalez-Strength and Associates Inc. from 1998 to 2019. Mr. Rasmussen began his career as a project engineer for Lucas Engineers Inc., where he was employed from 1996 to 1998.
Mr. Rasmussen holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Auburn University, which he earned in 1996. Additionally, he is certified as a LEED AP, a professional engineer, and a professional in erosion and sediment control. He maintains memberships with the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Tennessee Stormwater Association.
Mr. Rasumussen has achieved much during his career but highlights two accomplishments in particular: in 2017, he won an honorable mention in the American Society of Civil Engineers Innovation Contest, and in 2016, he was granted a patent for method, system and apparatus for flood control.
Mr. Rasmussen attributes his success to his relentless pursuit of discovering his true purpose in life, which is to make an impact on society. Looking toward the future, he aims to have his products recognized and installed throughout the U.S. within the next three to five years, enabling them to make a more significant impact in areas vulnerable to flooding.
When not engaged in career pursuits, Mr. Rasmussen enjoys mountain biking, running, swimming and aerobics. He also derives great pleasure in watching his son play soccer. Finally, in keeping with his desire to make positive contributions to society, Mr. Rasmussen makes financial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
