Mr. Wyan’s academic background laid the foundation for his successful career in education. He earned a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction from the University of Cincinnati in 2011 and a Bachelor of Arts in English and history from Baylor University in 2002. His focus, determination, discipline and willpower have been instrumental in achieving his goals within the educational sector. Mr. Wyan’s entry into teaching was inspired by his time in the Navy, where he mentored young sailors as a submariner. This experience revealed his natural inclination towards teaching and led him to pursue certification in this field.

Mr. Wyan is deeply committed to his family life, especially as a father to his daughter. Outside his familial responsibilities, Mr. Wyan enjoys various activities, including watching movies, playing video games, reading, writing screenplays, weightlifting, karate and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Looking ahead, he aims to achieve a blue belt in jiu-jitsu and a 3rd dan in karate while also pursuing professional growth opportunities, such as becoming a department chairperson or earning the designation of NY State Master Teacher, where he can continue making significant contributions to education.
