From 2023 to 2024, she served as a contract manager at 3M through Axiom, where she was instrumental in negotiating and managing contracts to align with corporate policies and legal requirements.
Ms. McBride’s earlier roles include a tenure as a junior compliance attorney at Brevet Capital Management from 2022 to 2023, where she contributed to the development of compliance strategies and ensured regulatory adherence across vendor contracts, policy updates and nondisclosure agreements. In 2022, she was a contract manager at Lumen with Axiom, focusing on contract negotiations and risk assessments. From 2019 to 2021, she was a conflict of interest officer at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, where she managed potential conflicts in research activities.
Before venturing onto her vocational path, Ms. McBride laid a strong foundation for her analytical and ethical reasoning skills by pursuing a multidisciplinary education. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy, economics, women’s studies and sociology from Ball State University in 2007. She furthered her education by earning a Juris Doctor from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2010, equipping her with comprehensive legal expertise that has been pivotal throughout her career.
Ms. McBride’s commitment to civic engagement is evident through her volunteer work as an attorney at the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic in 2013. The role allowed her to provide legal assistance to individuals affected by domestic violence, demonstrating her dedication to using her legal skills for community service.
Throughout her career, Ms. McBride has also engaged in various academic and professional development opportunities. She served as a graduate research assistant at the Indiana University Center for Bioethics from 2009 to 2010 and participated in international internships with the International Women’s Rights Action Watch Asia Pacific and the Institutio de Derechos Humanos in Argentina during the summer of 2009.
