Before joining her firm, Ms. Simon was the president and principal of TIG (The Innovative Group) Real Estate Services in Fort Worth between 2014 and 2016. Earlier in her career, Ms. Simon garnered success as the president of the industrial and land division at The Woodmont Company from 1996 to 2000 and held the same title at Polo Club Enterprises Inc. between 1993 and 1996. She also led The R.E. Group Advisors Inc. dba The Real Estate Group as the firm’s president from 1990 to 1993 and was affiliated with Henry S. Miller/Grubb & Ellis as the senior vice president of the industrial and land division between 1982 and 1989.
Ms. Simon has been recognized for her remarkable industrial, retail, land, and office commercial real estate expertise. Marking significant milestones in her career, she was the first woman to practice industrial real estate in Tarrant and Dallas County and the first female broker to be named the highest industrial producer in the Dallas/Fort Worth area during her years with Henry S. Miller.
In addition to her professional roles, Ms. Simon has made noteworthy contributions to her community through active involvement with various organizations. She has been an integral part of Jewel Charity Ball for Cook Children’s Hospital, serving on its board and as its angel chairperson. Ms. Simon’s civic engagement extended to executive board membership with the Boys & Girls Club from 2009 to 2013 and with advisory board membership at Adrian College of Texas Christian University.
Ms. Simon’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in education from the University of Texas. She also received a master’s degree in American history and completed coursework toward a doctorate at Texas Christian University. Additionally, Ms. Simon’s academic pursuits and subsequent career were shaped by a unique opportunity during her tenure with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Due to her extensive educational background, this opportunity allowed her to bypass traditional licensing constraints and directly obtain a broker’s license.
Adding to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Simon has been active with several industry-related organizations, such as the Fort Worth Board of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors, the Commercial Real Estate Women, the International Council of Shopping Centers, and the Nort Texas chapter of the Urban Land Institute. Most notably, she co-founded the Commercial Real Estate Women’s Organization in Tarrant County, Texas, in 1987, which became recognized as the first women’s organization for females working in commercial real estate.
Ms. Simon’s achievements are complemented by a rich tapestry of accolades that reflect her professional prowess and community impact. The Texas State Women’s Chamber of Commerce honored her as the Businesswoman of the Year in 2007. In 2011, the National Diversity Council named her one of the most influential women in Texas.
