Ms. Herndon is a distinguished professional in the construction management industry and has excelled as the director of business development at PROTECS, a leading design-build construction management and project management company that serves the life sciences and advanced technology markets. In her leadership role, she oversees the marketing department, supervises communications and manages sales efforts across the company’s network of five offices throughout the U.S., and Ms. Herndon is responsible for developing targets and strategic planning.

Ms. Herndon’s career journey began with a key position in marketing and public relations at the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship. To advance her professional opportunities, she enrolled in Rowan University to pursue undergraduate studies and earned a Bachelor of Science in entrepreneurship in 2014. She also proudly holds a Master of Arts in public relations, which she completed in 2016, and where she was selected as a recipient of the Donald Bagin Gold Medallion Award for superior academic performance, outstanding university and community service, and strong representation with outside professionals and contributions to the field.

During her time at Rowan University, Ms. Herndon held roles such as business specialist and graduate assistant at the Rohrer College of Business from 2012 to 2016 and concurrently gained experience as a marketing and public relations intern at Inspira Health Network in 2015. In 2017, she joined CRB as a marketing coordinator, where she worked until 2019 before transitioning to Widener University to be a key member of their marketing and communications team for the School of Engineering. Ms. Herndon then moved to PROTECS where she thrived as the corporate communications manager from 2020 to 2023 before advancing to corporate business development and marketing in early 2023.

Ms. Herndon remains actively involved in industry-related organizations, serving as chair of the communications committee for WIB Philadelphia-Metro since 2023 to help mentor and support women in bio, and with her engagement with Women In Manufacturing, the Greater Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce, DelwareBio, BioUtah, and Women We Admire.

Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. Herndon is dedicated to civic engagement. She founded Canvas Cures in 2016, a 501©(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fundraising for children with serious illnesses through artwork. Canvas Cures is partnered with noteworthy hospitals and organizations such as Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Ms. Herndon has humbly accepted accolades for her meaningful contributions, including “The Top 50 Women Leaders in Construction and Civil Works” and “Women Leaders Building a Stronger Future in Construction and Civil Works” from Women We Admire in 2024 and the Donald Bagin Gold Medallion for Graduate Public Relations in 2016. She has recently been accepted as a member to Forbes Councils for the Business Development Council and looks forward to being a contributor to Forbes Magazine.
