Drawing on over two decades of experience, she has become an expert in her field. Ms. Yin’s responsibilities include leading JPMorgan’s advocacy initiatives with U.S. regulators, such as the Federal Reserve, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. She also oversees a team providing technical interpretative support on more than 100 regulatory reports filed with U.S. regulators. She is responsible for providing guidance across banking products in compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. Ms. Yin oversees the development and rollout of regulatory reporting training to over 20,000 employees within the firm. Additionally, Ms. Yin is pivotal in leading JPMorgan’s policy advocacy initiatives with industry bodies like the Bank Policy Institute and the American Bankers Association. Ms. Yin is a member of JPMC’s Asian Executive Forum, driving diversity & inclusion initiatives, and serves on the JPMC Brooklyn Executive Committee.
Before her tenure at JPMorgan Chase & Company, Ms. Yin was the director of regulatory reporting at AIG from 2012 to 2015 and regulatory reporting leader at GE Capital from 2011 to 2012, leading both firms’ build-out of regulatory reporting processes as new bank holding company subject to the Federal Reserve supervision. She previously served as a controller for GECIFC (a bank holding company with 19 banks in 13 countries outside of U.S.) from 2003 to 2007 and global finance manager at GE Real Estate from 2007 to 2011. Ms. Yin began her illustrious career as a senior manager at KPMG LLP in New York and Zurich from 1996 to 2003.
Ms. Yin’s academic background earned a Bachelor of Science in finance and banking from her home country at Xiamen University in 1990. She came to the U.S. to attend Baruch College, receiving a Master of Business Administration in accounting in 1996.
Aside from her professional endeavors, Ms. Yin is actively involved in civic organizations that reflect her commitment to community service. She has been a member of the board of trustees for Homeless Solutions Inc. since 2021. She helps lead initiatives with significant impacts on the community. An example was the 16th Annual Women’s Day, which she helped host, raising over $100,000 to support homeless mothers with childcare support. Additionally, Ms. Yin serves on the advisory board for the accounting department at her alma mater, Baruch College.
Ms. Yin is a leader both within and outside of her organization. She attributes her success to the guidance and influence of her mentors throughout her career. As a minority woman leader and a first-generation immigrant who has successfully balanced being a working mother with her professional life, she embodies the qualities of leadership and resilience that inspire others to achieve their best.
