With more than 20 years of experience in her industry, she currently serves as the director of strategic partnerships and development at Pro Mujer, where she engages partnerships in the nonprofit public and private sectors to foster gender equality and diversity in the Americas. Her work is marked by her dedication to creating opportunities for vulnerable communities through innovative programs and strategic collaborations.
Ms. Mor has held many key roles throughout her career. In 2021, she served as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank. Prior to that, she held several positions at the Organization of American States, including director of partnerships and business innovation from 2020 to 2021. Between 2016 and 2020, she was the director of programs, following her role as director of economic opportunities program from 2012 to 2016. She also held positions as program manager in 2012, project manager from 2009 to 2011, and program coordinator from 2008 to 2009. Earlier in her career, she worked as a consultant for the Water and Sanitation Initiative at the Inter-American Development Bank in 2008 and for the Evaluation Group and Poverty Reduction Division at The World Bank from 2004 to 2005. Additionally, she consulted for the Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Relief Program at the Pan American Health Organization from 2003 to 2004.
One of Ms. Mor’s significant accomplishments is the development of Partnerships of Economic Opportunities through Technologies in the Americas (POETA). This initiative established a network of over 200 community technology centers and innovation labs aimed at enhancing technological proficiency within vulnerable communities across the Americas. As a result, individuals have been able to improve their job prospects and initiate entrepreneurial endeavors.
Ms. Mor’s academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in government and international relations from Universidad Externado de Colombia in Bogotá, completed in 2003, and a Master of Business Administration in international management from American University in Washington, D.C., completed in 2007. She also holds a certification in peace and conflict resolution and foreign policy, complex emergencies, and international affairs from American University, obtained in 2003.
Ms. Mor’s commitment to social impact causes is further demonstrated by her involvement with various organizations. She serves on the Central America Task Force–Atlantic Council and has been a member of the board of directors for TECHO Colombia since 2022. Additionally, she was a member of Partnership for Central America and an advisory board member for Women Delivers in 2021. Her previous roles also include global network associate at PEACE X PEACE from 2005 to 2007 and is a fellow of at Aspen Institute Colombia.
Noted for her achievements in the field, Ms. Mor received the Iconic Woman Award from the Women Economic Forum in 2020. Her passion for social development is deeply rooted in her upbringing; she credits her success to her family’s support and the gift of education that not everyone has, especially in Colombia. Her parents and grandparents taught her to be mindful of those who are less privileged, instilling in her a desire to foster equal opportunities for others.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Mor is dedicated to her family and enjoys spending time with her children. Looking ahead, she aims to leverage her extensive experience in social enterprise, multilateral, and nonprofit sectors to transition into leadership roles within large multinational companies in the United States. Her focus will be on promoting environmental sustainability, functional government practices, diversity, equity, and inclusion while building partnerships that create shared value for both companies and communities.
