Ms. Rosenblum is a distinguished lawyer and owner of the Law Offices of Melissa Rosenblum LLC, where she has been at the helm since 2019. Her practice is dedicated to representing individuals accused of criminal and quasi-criminal offenses in the state and municipal courts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Her expertise spans criminal defense, superior court, municipal court, DWI/DUI, traffic tickets, domestic violence cases, juvenile delinquency and appeals. Her commitment to providing assertive defense in trials, motions, detention hearings, sentencing hearings, appeals and violations of probation and parole has earned her a reputation for excellence in the legal community.

Prior to establishing her own firm, Ms. Rosenblum served as a partner at Levin Pisetzner Levin in Atlantic City from 2016 to 2019. During this time, she gained recognition for her work on a challenging vehicular homicide case in 2015 that resulted in a not-guilty verdict upon retrial. From 2010 to 2016, she was an associate at the Law Offices of Joseph A. Levin LLC in Atlantic City. Her earlier career includes roles as an adjunct professor at Rowan University from 2006 to 2013 and as a pre-trial supervisor and assistant defender with the Defender Association of Philadelphia from 1998 to 2004.

Ms. Rosenblum’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in politics from Ithaca College in 1993. She then pursued a Juris Doctor degree at Widener University School of Law, graduating cum laude in 1997. Her academic accolades include the Wapner, Newman & Wigrizer Award and membership in the Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Society and Phi Delta Phi Honor Chapter. She also achieved first place in the Hugh B. Pearce Trial Competition in spring 1997.

Her professional affiliations are extensive and include serving as President of the Atlantic County Bar Association in 2023-2024. She has also previously served on Vincent S. Haneman Inn of Court, Executive Committee and Planning Committee, and as Chair of New Jersey District 1 Ethics committee. She has held various leadership roles within the association since 2010 and is also involved with organizations such as the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the New Jersey State Bar Association.

Ms. Rosenblum’s dedication to her field is further evidenced by her certification and recertification as a criminal trial attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey in 2015 and 2020, respectively. Ms. Rosenblum was recognized in 2020 as New Jersey State Bar Association, Professional Lawyer of the Year Award: Atlantic County. She also received the 2019 New Jersey Judiciary Pro Bono Recognition Award. She has been recognized as a New Jersey SuperLawyer for the past six years. In addition to her legal career, Ms. Rosenblum is actively engaged in civic activities. She is Vice-President of Jewish Family Services of Atlantic & Cape May County and Vice-President of Rooted Kinections, Inc., a non-profit organization that gives siblings impacted by foster-care and other out of home placement the opportunity to connect. She has volunteered as an assistant basketball coach for Linwood Travel Basketball and as a softball coach for Cherry Hill Atlantic Little League. Her pro bono work includes coordinating the domestic violence attorney pro bono calendars for the Superior Court of New Jersey, Atlantic County, and is presently serving on the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Wellness and the Law.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Rosenblum is a devoted mother to four children and enjoys hosting her podcast “Mighty MERP,” where she discusses criminal law, mental health and women’s career transitions from law to other fields. She is passionate about running marathons, traveling and spending quality time with her family. Looking ahead, she aspires to be recognized as one of New Jersey’s foremost criminal defense attorneys while continuing to challenge gender norms within the legal profession through her woman-run firm.
