Before that, she served as the director of operations for Boyd Family Holdings from 2017 to 2021, where she was responsible for overseeing various business functions and ensuring operational efficiency.
Ms. Joye’s career began with roles that laid the foundation for her future success. She worked as an HR and accounting administrator at Moonshine Events LLC from 2016 to 2017, where she developed her skills in human resources and financial management. From 2014 to 2016, she was an operations manager at Gemisphere in Portland, Oregon, where she gained valuable experience in managing day-to-day business activities. Her early career included positions with Wells Fargo, from 2013 to 2014 and H&R Block from 2012 to 2013.
Ms. Joye’s educational background includes a Master of Business Administration from Marylhurst University in 2016 and a Bachelor of Science in political science from the University of Oregon in 2002. Her academic achievements have provided her with a strong foundation in business and political science, which have been crucial in her professional journey. She attributes much of her success to the influence of her family, particularly the strong women who have inspired her to pursue non-traditional paths, as well as the guidance of supportive mentors throughout her academic and professional journeys.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Joye is actively involved in civic organizations. She serves on the board of Gather:Make:Shelter and has been involved with the W. Glen Boyd Charitable Foundation since 2015. Her past involvement includes serving on the board of directors for Girls Build® from 2020 to 2021 and working as a crisis counselor for the Portland Women’s Crisis Line from 2013 to 2014. These roles reflect her commitment to community service and empowerment.
Outside of her career, Ms. Joye is deeply engaged with volunteer work and remains active within the Native American community. Born in Portland, she is passionate about revitalizing the local community and addressing national issues through her organization’s initiatives. Looking ahead, she is considering pursuing a doctorate to further enhance her expertise and expand her impact on society.
