His expertise extends to leadership development, organizational effectiveness, talent management, executive coaching, and strategic planning. This extensive skill set has positioned him as a pivotal figure in helping companies grow their leaders, teams, and organizations.

In addition to Crispian Consulting Inc., Mr. Lerario has served as a director of leadership development at All American Leadership since 2015. He also contributed his knowledge and skills as an adjunct researcher at RAND Corporation from 2015 to 2023 and as adjunct faculty at Fayetteville State University from 2016 to 2018. His commitment to community engagement was evident through his membership on the Fayetteville Observer Community Advisory Board from 2011 to 2020. He is currently the host of the Objective Arete podcast, a forum dedicated to helping its audience grow and achieve their greatest potential.

Mr. Lerario’s military career is marked by significant achievements and contributions. He served as a program coordinator at USSOCOM from 2014 to 2015 as well as a senior command advisor to the commander of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Joint Command in Afghanistan in 2014. His tenure with The Wexford Group as a senior consultant from 2006 to 2013 and earlier roles within the U.S. Army from 1983 to 2006 underscore his extensive experience in leadership within military contexts.

Among Mr. Lerario’s proudest accomplishments are his roles during critical moments in history. Serving as a company commander during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm and as a battalion commander in Afghanistan post-9/11 stand out as significant milestones in his career. Additionally, his tenure as Director of Operations for the Joint Task Force Full Accounting (now known as Joint POW/MIA Accountability Command) was particularly meaningful. During this period, he played a crucial role in recovering remains from the Vietnam War and conducting investigations into sightings of those left behind, providing closure for many families.

Mr. Lerario’s academic background has been foundational to his success. He earned a Bachelor of Science in general engineering with a concentration in military history from the U.S. Military Academy (West Point) in 1983, followed by a Master of Arts in leadership development in 1994 at the same institution. These academic achievements have equipped him with the knowledge and analytical skills necessary for recognizing problems and connecting people with solutions, a value-based investment that has guided his career.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Lerario is deeply committed to civic associations such as National Geographic, Carolina Tiger Rescue, Duke Cancer Research Institute, Cape Fear Botanical Garden, the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra, and Cape Fear Regional Theatre. His contributions to literature include authoring Leadership in Balance: THE FULCRUM-CENTRIC PLAN for Emerging and High Potential Leaders and Management in Balance: THE FULCRUM-CENTRIC PLAN for New and Reluctant Managers both part of the Fulcrum-Centric Leader Series. These publications reflect his commitment to sharing knowledge on effective leadership practices.

In his personal life, Mr. Lerario enjoys spending time with his family.
