Before securing the appointment, he thrived as a director of golf at Up to Par Management LLC from 2018 to 2021 where he deployed a signature expertise in customer relations, customer loyalty and sales. Additionally, Mr. Rogers owned a golf course for fourteen years, reflective of his entrepreneurial spirit, through which he refined his skill set in operations management and forged enduring industry partnerships.
In addition to his formal professional titles, Mr. Rogers was proud to serve as a high school basketball referee and before retiring was acknowledged for over three decades of service, during which time he was selected three times to officiate the West Virginia High School state tournament. Mr. Rogers also maintains membership in the PGA of America and the Association of Golf Merchandisers, affiliations that further demonstrate an abiding commitment to maintaining currency with industry trends and best practices.
Mr. Rogers’s impressive academic accomplishments include a Bachelor of Arts in accounting and finance from Marietta College, which he completed in 1986 before pursuing graduate studies. He now proudly holds a master’s degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College, completed in 1989. Mr. Rogers credits his professional advancement thus far to this critical education and applied training, which have proven a superb complement to his innate adaptability, penchant for quick thinking and proactive nature.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Rogers continues to seek opportunities for civic engagement. He humbly supports the Folds of Honor Foundation, serves as the director of the West Virginia High School Golf Tournament and has broadcast local high school football, basketball and baseball games. In recognition of his achievements, Mr. Rogers has humbly accepted numerous accolades including multi-year recognition as the Tri-State PGA Section Merchandiser of the Year in the resort category by the PGA of America.
Mr. Rogers enjoys a fulfilling personal life and spending quality family time with his son and new grandson. He also nurtures a sustained passion for collecting baseball cards and engages in outdoor activities. Looking toward the future, Mr. Rogers aims to elevate Stonewall Resort’s golf course national ranking into the top 100 courses by hosting major events, expanding the facilities and increasing revenue to enhance the revenue matrix accordingly.
