Mr. Morrison is the chief executive officer of Potere Search (PS), a company he founded in 2018. He manages a team of five, oversees acquisitions, recruits for rapidly growing companies, identifies potential clients and is involved in contracts. PS is based in Chandler, Arizona, and works with companies searching for local talent within the Phoenix area to work on-site or via hybrid.
Mr. Morrison’s entrepreneurial journey began after observing a gap in the market and feeling confident that he could offer a better solution. This insight led him to establish PS, which has since become a testament to his forward-thinking approach. Before founding PS, Mr. Morrison gained valuable experience in the executive search industry. From 2012 to 2017, he held various roles at three executive search firms. These positions allowed him to specialize in niche recruiting for major companies, providing him with the expertise and confidence needed to start his venture. The positive feedback Mr. Morrison received during this period reinforced his vision of creating an organization that serves both companies and individuals alike.
Mr. Morrison’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Idaho in 2011. He has also been an active member of several industry-related organizations, including Entrepreneurs’ Organization, since 2022. Civically, Mr. Morrison is committed to mentoring the next generation of business leaders. Since 2020, he has been a mentor at the University of Idaho. He is also a member of Toastmasters International, a board of directors member as the governance co-chair at Saint Joseph the Worker since 2018 and a mentor and volunteer with Hustle PHX since 2018.
In addition to his primary work endeavors and professional and civic commitments, Mr. Morrison maintains a blog where he shares insights on entrepreneurship and leadership. In light of his professional success, he has been featured in the Phoenix Business Journal. His dedication to his community earned him the Volunteer of the Year Award in 2019.
Mr. Morrison credits his success to his continuous willingness to learn and relentless drive. He believes in the adage “knowledge is power” and remains committed to expanding his knowledge base by learning from others and acting upon that knowledge. His long-term ambition to establish a business was notably realized through attending transformative workshops and seminars, which provided him with the tools and support needed to launch PS.
Eager for PS’s future, Mr. Morrison envisions it operating more independently. He also plans to start a real estate business with his wife, focusing on government housing.
