Before joining ALKU, Ms. Ramsdell served as a health care consultant at Huron Consulting Group Inc. from 2022 to 2023. In this role, she provided expert advice and solutions to health care organizations, leveraging her extensive knowledge in nursing informatics. Previously, she was a senior consultant at Ettain Group, now ManPowerGroup Inc., from 2019 to 2020, where she played a key role in various health care projects. From 2012 to 2019, Ms. Ramsdell earned distinction as a senior consultant at Leidos Health, where she contributed to numerous initiatives aimed at improving healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
Throughout her career, Ms. Ramsdell has been actively involved in industry-related organizations such as the American Nurses Association, the American Nurses Informatics Association and the Nebraska Nurse Association. These memberships have allowed her to stay current with industry trends and best practices while contributing to the advancement of the nursing profession.
Ms. Ramsdell’s educational background has been fundamental to her success. She initially studied nursing at the West Nebraska General Hospital School of Nursing in Nebraska, obtaining her Diploma RN in 1987, after which she attained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Regis University in 1993. Following this accomplishment, Ms. Ramsdell received a Master of Science in nursing informatics from Grand Canyon University in 2018.
In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Ramsdell has made significant contributions through her involvement with civic-minded organizations like Banner Health between 2008 and 2012. She has also been a contributor to Physician Workflow across all departments, including development of training material, at several healthcare facilities since 2013.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Ramsdell is a proud mother and enjoys reading and playing with her granddaughters. Alongside her husband, she runs a custom haying business—a venture that brought them fulfillment during the challenges of COVID-19.
Looking ahead, Ms. Ramsdell plans to retire within the next several years but remains passionate about continuing her work in project management and improving patient safety.
