Mr. Pimentel Pinto’s career also includes notable positions such as chief operating officer and chief information officer at Grupo Yannini from 2014 to 2015 and chief information officer and chief technology officer at Talleres Gráficos de México from 2011 to 2014. He gained critical experience as the program manager at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Services from 2010 to 2011 and as the chief information officer and chief technology officer at Especialistas en Medios in 2010. Additionally, from 2009 to 2010, Mr. Pimentel Pinto excelled as the director of data centers at the attorney general’s office and the information systems coordinator at Universidad Simón Bolívar from 2002 to 2006.

A strong academic record helped forge a strong foundation for Mr. Pimentel Pinto’s career pursuits. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems with a focus on information technology from Simón Bolívar University in Mexico in 2002, the same year he accepted the San Francisco de Asis Medal; he furthered his education by securing numerous industry certifications, including diplomas in cybersecurity and digital transformation from AMEST and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, respectively, in 2023. Mr. Pimentel Pinto’s passion for continuous learning is evident through additional certifications from prestigious institutions such as Amazon Web Services and OpenExO. He also holds a CIO Executive Advanced Certification from Universidad de Las Américas Puebla earned in 2022.

Keen strategic expertise and an affinity for digital transformation are cornerstones of Mr. Pimentel Pinto’s profile, and he has been recognized for his many meaningful contributions. Notably, he was humbled when included on the CIO 100 List in Mexico from 2019 to 2022 and proud of his second-place finish in NetMedia’s “The 50 Most Innovative Ranking 2022” for his work on digital transformation projects involving machine learning, artificial intelligence and cloud computing. Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Pimentel Pinto actively seeks opportunities for civic engagement. He co-founded Unity International in 2019 and served as a board member for The C-Class through 2023. He also thrived in advisory roles with ONG DreamIT and WiderPool between 2018 and 2019. In his personal life, he nurtures a passion for music and enjoys playing various musical instruments such as guitar, bass, drums and piano. As a photographer, he showcases his work through Rafe Pepper Photography and crafts, edits and disseminates videos for a YouTube channel under the Dissociative Identity Disorder Project.
