    BRENTWOOD, CA, September 17, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — Ramesh Ramadoss, PhD, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who. Dr. Ramadoss has made notable contributions across both academia and industry in the engineering field for more than two decades. He is an expert in blockchain research and technology who has garnered success in entrepreneurship, research, writing and public speaking. Since 2018, he has been chairing the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Blockchain Technical Community, where he has spearheaded the launch of 80 local groups worldwide, significantly contributing to the global advancement of blockchain technology.

Dr. Ramadoss received a Bachelor of Engineering in electronics and communication engineering from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai Kamaraj University, India and a Doctor of Philosophy in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder, USA. During his doctoral studies, he worked on a project funded by DARPA that explored the relationship between radio frequency (RF) engineering and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). This research led Dr. Ramadoss to initially delve into RF MEMS, and later into the field of MEMS and Nanotechnology, which gained popularity from the mid-1990s to the mid-2000s.

After completing his doctorate, Dr. Ramadoss joined Auburn University in Alabama as an assistant professor from 2003 to 2007. During that time, he established a laboratory focused on MEMS at The Alabama Micro/Nano Science and Technology Center at Auburn University. Dr. Ramadoss’s work at Auburn included projects for NASA, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, Sandia National Laboratories, and Motorola Labs.

Between 2008 and 2023, Dr. Ramadoss’s professional journey continued in Silicon Valley with roles such as senior manager, and director at various companies such as FormFactor Inc., Microprobe Inc., Applied Nanostructures Inc., IoT Technologies Inc., and CaritaTech Inc. He has co-founded and advised several startups.

Dr. Ramadoss is a Senior Member of IEEE. In 2017, he was elected to serve as the Chair of the IEEE Santa Clara Valley Section, popularly known as the IEEE Silicon Valley Section. He collaborated with the IEEE History Committee to unveil two IEEE Milestones (bronze plaques) at the former Shockley Semiconductor Laboratory, commemorating the birthplace of Silicon Valley and Moore’s Law.

In 2018, he co-founded the IEEE Blockchain Initiative, which later became the IEEE Blockchain Technical Community in 2023. In 2020, he co-founded the InterWork Alliance (IWA), which is now part of the Global Business Blockchain Council (GBBC). Between 2021-2023, Dr. Ramadoss served as an expert panelist for the EU Blockchain Observatory and Forum. Dr. Ramadoss is a member of the board of governors for the IEEE Standards Association since 2022. He is also a member of the IEEE Blockchain Standards Committee within the IEEE Consumer Technology Society, where he has served as the chair since 2023.

Additionally, he has written forewords for two books in the blockchain field. Throughout his career, Dr. Ramadoss has been recognized for his contributions to various engineering fields such as RF/microwave engineering, antennas, MEMS and recently blockchain technology.
