In addition to his work at MEPSCo, Mr. Bashar has owned Creative Water Sights since 1992, where he has applied his expertise in design and engineering to create innovative water sculptures for clients.

Mr. Bashar’s career spans several decades, which has been marked by significant contributions to various industries. Before launching MEPSCo, he was the principal global technical solutions engineer at Hologic Inc. from 2022 to 2024. In this capacity, he was instrumental in developing technical solutions that enhanced product offerings and operational efficiency. Mr. Bashar’s tenure at Hologic followed an impressive tenure of over 23 years at Gen-Probe Inc. (which was purchased by Hologic), where he worked as a senior manufacturing engineer between 2001 and 2022. During this time, Mr. Bashar was pivotal in developing manufacturing processes and equipment for products that significantly improved people’s health, a contribution he regards as one of his most notable achievements. His efforts during the Covid pandemic resulted in Hologic’s increased production capacity as directive by the DoD to meet country’s demand.

Among other exciting roles, Mr. Bashar honed his skills as a special effects designer at Walt Disney Imagineering from 1997 to 2001. His work involved designing special effects and assessing customer needs, which gave him valuable experience in creative problem-solving and innovation. Earlier in his career, Mr. Bashar worked as an instrument designer and fabricator at the University of Arizona’s separation sciences department between 1986 and 1991.

After graduating from Amphitheater High School in 1981, Mr. Bashar received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Arizona in 1985. He also holds several company and industry certificates.

Mr. Bashar’s education laid the foundation for his successful career, providing him with the technical knowledge and skills necessary to excel in various engineering roles.

Throughout his career, Mr. Bashar has been an active member of industry-related organizations, such as the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. These affiliations have allowed him to stay abreast of industry trends and contribute to the broader engineering community.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Bashar is deeply involved with the Boy Scouts of America, where he has been recognized as Scoutmaster of the Year. He is also eager to establish a nonprofit organization to champion causes that align with his beliefs.

Mr. Bashar’s career is marked by significant achievements in engineering and manufacturing, underpinned by a solid educational background and a commitment to personal and professional excellence. Among his most important accomplishments, he secured three U.S. patents, underscoring his commitment to advancing technology and improving manufacturing processes.
