Mr. Roseta is an attorney with over 50 years of success in the legal profession. He began his career as an associate and partner with the firm of Jaqua & Wheatley (1972-1978). He then joined long time partners William Flinn and Larry Brown in the formation of the firm that became Brown Roseta Long McConville & Kilcullen where he was founding partner and of counsel (1978-2015). Since that time he is founder and owner of Richard A. Roseta, Attorney at Law, Eugene, Oregon and Of Counsel at Tom Hoyt Attorney at Law PC and Bassinger Hoyt LLC. He has tried cases involving antitrust, professional liability, police liability, contract and property disputes, estate disputes, product failure, easements, wood products litigation, timber trespass and forest fire litigation, securities and banking disputes, disability and disability insurance matters and has handled many arbitrations, mediations and cases involving other forms of dispute resolution. He has notably tried over 400 civil jury trials in the state and federal courts of Oregon throughout his career.

His career began following a Bachelor of Science in 1969 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1972 from the University of Oregon and University of Oregon School of Law. Since that time during his career, he has been recognized for professional excellence. He was inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers in 1996 and was installed into the American Board of Trial Advocates in 1988. Since the mid 1970s he has been listed as A rated by Martindale-Hubbell, is a Super Lawyer in Health Care Litigation and was listed in Best Lawyers in America in 2000.

Mr. Roseta has contributed to the academic community as a volunteer instructor in Trial Practice classes at the University of Oregon School of Law, has assisted as a coach of high school Moot Court Teams and has served as a judge of many high school, University and Law School Moot Court competitions. He was an author of a chapter in the Oregon State Bar publication, Torts, (Chapter 9, Defenses to Negligence, published with updates since 1990). He has served as a volunteer Circuit Court Pro Tem Judge in Lane County, Oregon, sitting primarily in Juvenile Court.

Beyond his professional career, Mr. Roseta has served on the Board of Directors of Volunteers in Medicine Clinic, a primary care medical clinic for low income, medically underserved adults throughout Lane County, Oregon. He is an active member of the City of Eugene Citizen Review Board, a body that reviews complaints against police employees of the City of Eugene.

For his service as a Pro Tem Judge, he was the 2009 Distinguished Service Award recipient of the Lane County Bar Association. He was also honored for his long service (30 years) as defense counsel for attorneys in the State, by the Oregon State Bar Professional Liability Fund in 2009.

Mr. Roseta attributes much of his success to the support of his family, his mentors and the strong foundation provided to him by his parents. He plans to continue to serve his clients in his legal practice, continue with his civic involvement and spend quality time with his family.
