INDIANAPOLIS, January 18, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ — Robert E. Moses has been recognized for his dedication and contributions to the field of education with his inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who. With a career spanning over three decades, Mr. Moses has established himself as an expert in education, particularly in middle school science, agriculture, and school leadership. Currently serving as the principal of Simon Youth Academy at Circle Center within the Indianapolis Public Schools, he has been instrumental in shaping the school’s culture and academic programs. His role encompasses a wide array of responsibilities ranging from developing curricula to coaching students and staff.
In addition to this position, Mr. Moses was an adjunct professor at Martin University from 2015 to 2023, where he shared his knowledge and experience with aspiring educators. His journey in education has been marked by significant milestones, including as an assistant principal and dean of students within the Indianapolis Public Schools, the director of the Excel Center at Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana, and the chief of school operations for Goodwill Education Initiatives Inc. Notably, he was the founding principal of Indianapolis Metropolitan High School under Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana, as well as the interim assistant principal and magnet program coordinator for Indianapolis Public Schools, where he taught science from 1998 to 2001.
Throughout his career, Mr. Moses has been an active member of various industry-related organizations. He held leadership positions in Alpha Phi Alpha during his college years and is a member of both the Indiana Principles Association and Kappa Delta Pi. These affiliations have provided him with a platform to influence educational standards and practices beyond his immediate professional environment.
Building upon a solid educational foundation, Mr. Moses earned a Bachelor of Science in agriculture education from Alcorn State University in 1984, after which he attained a Master of Education in agriculture education from Mississippi State University. Well-qualified in his field, he holds two professional educator’s licenses from the Indiana Office of Educator Licensing and Development. Inspired by his mother’s dedication to teaching despite personal challenges and his father’s insistence on the importance of education, Mr. Moses attributes his success to their influence and support.
In recognition of his efforts to elevate academic standards and engage students in learning, Mr. Moses has received several accolades, including the Distinguished Achievement Award from the Center for Leadership Development in 2011 and both the Top Ten Teacher Award and Teacher of the Year from Indianapolis Public Schools-Coleman Middle School in 2001.
Looking ahead, Mr. Moses envisions a future where he can continue to impact education through consultancy after retirement. He aims to mentor educators and administrators while developing services that address their needs effectively. As he contemplates retirement, he looks forward to dedicating more time to family while also embarking on new ventures that will allow him to share his wealth of knowledge with others in the field of education.
