His expertise in these areas has earned him widespread recognition and respect within his industry. Mr. Parke spent his early career as the vice president of human resources for Hughes Aircraft Company from 1972 to 2000 and subsequently as the acting director of human resources and recruitment and human resources special projects consultant for an executive recruiting company in Southgate, California, between 2000 and 2004.

Following these successful ventures, Mr. Parke co-founded Secova in Costa Mesa, California, in 2004. Working alongside three partners, his benefits administration business became highly successful, growing the company to approximately 400 employees and $20 in sales before selling it in 2019. During his tenure with Secova, Mr. Parke was the vice president of strategy and business process and senior vice president. Shortly after selling the organization, he established Parke Family Enterprises as the firm’s president in Palos Verdes Peninsula, California, where he is now involved in real estate investments.

Apart from her business ventures, Mr. Parke has maintained several diverse interests as a leader in his community. He has held the title of president of the board of trustees for the Palos Verdes Library District since 2023. He leads the board that oversees the library director and establishes strategic plans for the library, which serves over 70,000 people across three branches. Mr. Parke’s responsibilities also include approving budgets and ensuring the library’s policies meet community needs. Additionally, he has been active on the board of several organizations, including Daedalians, Friends of Libraries, the Children’s Dental Center, Junior Achievement of Southern California, Hughes Retiree Association, and Palos Verdes Golf Club. These memberships have allowed Mr. Parke to contribute significantly to various causes and communities beyond his professional endeavors.In preparation for his career, Mr. Parke’s educational journey began with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Houston in 1968, followed by a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1974, and the completion of the executive management program in business administration and management at the University of California at Los Angeles in 1985.

Beyond his professional life and academic achievements, Mr. Parke is also recognized for his military service, having served as a second lieutenant and helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1972. This accomplishment has earned him decorations, such as a Distinguished Flying Cross, over 35 Combat Air Medals, two U.S. Army Commendation Medals, a Bronze Star, and various service medals.

Mr. Parke attributes his success to his education, hard work, and strong work ethic. He was interested in the dynamics between a company and its employees and decided to pursue a career in human resources.
