Ms. Muniz is a dedicated mental health counselor renowned for her expertise in trauma. Since 2019, she has been a clinician affiliated with Wayside Youth and Family Support Network in Massachusetts. She also became a program manager for the facility in 2023. As an expert in mental health counseling, Ms. Muniz assesses and provides counseling, advocacy, care coordination, behavior management, and skill-building services to help children, adolescents, and families identify and resolve various issues. Ms. Muniz also caters to patients referred by the Department of Children and Families, Department of Mental Health.
Apart from her responsibilities at Wayside, Ms. Muniz has been the director of the psychological immigration evaluation department at Embrace Pathways to Wellness since 2021. Among other career endeavors, Ms. Muniz co-founded Embrace Pathways Internacional, a respected mental health clinic licensed and regulated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Launched in 2023, her facility offers diverse mental health services to deliver clinically sound and culturally sensitive mental health assessments and interventions for patients from children to adults and families.
Aside from her full-time career endeavors, Ms. Muniz has been a podcast host and has maintained a YouTube vlog. Previously, she garnered success in several similar roles, including as a mental health clinician at Greater Malden Behavioral Health and as a psychologist at Climai and the Psychology Clinic Lugar Seguro. Looking toward future goals, Ms. Muniz envisions teaching in some capacity and writing a book. She also envisions the possibility of hosting a television show.
A native of Brazil, Ms. Muniz graduated from the Universidade Catolica de Brasilia in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. She also received a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Cambridge College in 2020. Additionally, Ms. Muniz garnered certification in sexology and qualitative research methods and received verified international academic qualifications. She speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish and is presently studying Mandarin.
Adding to her credentials, Ms. Muniz is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association.
