Initially serving a small number of tax clients after volunteering with the federal VITA Program for several years, his company has expanded significantly, now serving over 1,000 clients across 38 states and three continents. Notably, 40% of Mr. Gorman’s clientele consists of Delta Airlines flight attendants, a connection he established while working part-time for the airline during his studies. Besides managing his busy accounting firm, he has become the president and partner at Ten40Tax & Investing Group LLP in Billings in 2024.
In addition to his work in the field, Mr. Gorman has become a university lecturer at Montana State University in Billings, where he has been teaching since 2020. In his role, he specializes in principles of financial accounting and forensic accounting, offering a unique high-flex modality for his classes that allows online students to participate in person. Throughout his tenure as an educator, Mr. Gorman has taught a multitude of courses, including Principles of Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Business Law, Accounting Information Systems, and Forensic Accounting and Fraud, among others. Besides his primary lecturing responsibilities, he provides students six hours of free tutoring every Saturday.
Mr. Gorman’s educational achievements include a Bachelor of Science in accounting with a minor in organizational communications from Montana State University Billings in 2019 and a Master of Science in accounting with a concentration in tax and forensics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2021.
Outside his primary career objectives, Mr. Gorman is involved in the Billings Chamber of Commerce, further underscoring his commitment to community engagement and professional development. He also engages in various initiatives to support the local community, like sponsoring NextGen and Free Laptops for Students through Ten40Tax & Investing Group LLP, and has presented before various groups on taxation topics.
