Her collaborative spirit has led her to work alongside numerous professionals within her field, enhancing her reputation as a dedicated and effective consultant.

Prior to founding her consulting firm, Mrs. Collins embarked on a career that spanned various roles across the education and training sectors. She served as an English teacher at Millard Public Schools from 1985 to 1990 and later as a gifted facilitator at Omaha Public Schools until 2012. Her journey through this field also includes positions as an educational consultant with the Northwest Area Education Agency and various roles with the National Education Association.

Mrs. Collins’s expertise extends beyond education into mentoring, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and positive psychology. This expertise is reflected in her recent appointment as Diversity Director for HR-Nebraska State Council in 2024, a testament to her commitment to fostering inclusive environments. Shari also serves on the Board of Directors for the Human Resource Association of the Midlands (HRAM).

Mrs. Collins’s professional affiliations are extensive and varied, including memberships in the Nebraska State Education Association, the National Education Association, HRAM and HR-Nebraska, among others. These memberships signify not only her commitment to professional growth, but also her dedication to contributing to the broader community within her fields of expertise.

Mrs. Collins’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in English, communications, and secondary education from Hastings College and a Master of Science in secondary education with a focus on gifted education from the University of Nebraska, Omaha. Her certifications as a teacher in Nebraska and Iowa and as a Certified National Trainer for Real Colors underscore her commitment to professional development and excellence in her field.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Mrs. Collins is actively involved in civic associations such as Little White Dog Rescue. She has also contributed to publications such as “12th Grade Ready: Expert Advice to Help Parents Navigate the Year Ahead,” showcasing her commitment to education and community support.

In 2012, Ms. Collins embarked on a journey to study positive psychology in an effort to imbue workplaces with sustainability and promote joy. In 2024, she conducted a workshop at the Gross Global Happiness Summit, an international conference held in San Jose, Costa Rica, and delivered a workshop on positive psychology at the National Mentoring Conference held in Washington, D.C.

Mrs. Collins attributes her professional accomplishments to a strong work ethic instilled by her parents. In her personal life, she finds joy in gardening, spending time with her family and rescue dogs, traveling, and reading. With aspirations to establish herself as an international speaker and consultant, she looks forward to expanding her influence globally.
