Before establishing his firm, Mr. Abachi served at Sethi Mazaheri LLC, a boutique immigration law firm, first as a law clerk from 2017 to 2021, and then as a senior attorney from 2021 to 2025. His tenure at the firm marked a significant period of professional growth, transitioning from a junior position to a senior role. Concurrently, he founded Malbachi LLC in 2019—a company dedicated to empowering immigrant artists through diverse cultural events—further expanding his influence beyond the legal field. Additionally, Mr. Abachi has been involved with the Forum on Life, Culture & Society (FOLCS) since 2017 as the director and producer of its International Short Film Competition, an annual festival that showcases short films exploring themes of justice, human rights, and the law by emerging filmmakers worldwide. His role as manager of legal research and digital marketing at FOLCS highlights his multifaceted skills.

Before immigrating to the United States from Iran in 2014, Mr. Abachi’s career began with roles that laid the foundation for his future success. From 2012 to 2014, he worked as a paralegal at Maleki Law Offices, gaining valuable experience in legal procedures. Before entering the legal profession, he was a physics teacher and private tutor at Allamehelli High School from 2007 to 2012. His early career also included positions as a mechanical engineer at Behran Mobadel Co. in 2010 and an assistant at Intertek from 2007 to 2008. Upon arriving in the United States, he worked for over a year as a server in a small Manhattan café—an experience that not only sustained him financially but also deepened his resolve to enroll in law school and launch his professional career.

Mr. Abachi holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Rutgers Law School, from which he graduated in 2020. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Tehran Science and Research University in Iran. His academic journey was enriched by certifications in immigration law from Rutgers Law School and in art and cultural heritage law from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2020. Similarly, he is affiliated with the New Jersey and New York City Bar Associations. Admitted to the New Jersey State Bar in 2021, Mr. Abachi attributes his success to community support and unwavering dedication to his work.

Mr. Abachi’s extensive civic involvement reflects his passion for the arts and culture. He serves as a board member for Big Dance Theater and has been on the board of advisors for the Artistic Freedom Initiative since 2019. His commitment extends to volunteering with organizations such as Amnesty International USA since 2015 and co-founding the Iranian Community of the Northeast in 2017. His accolades include being named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2025 and receiving an Avvo Clients’ Choice Award in 2024.

Outside his professional endeavors, Mr. Abachi is deeply engaged with the arts and culture. Born in Tehran, he directs an international short film competition in New York City and organizes cultural events, concerts and art exhibitions.
