Ms. Samoska has dedicated over 26 years to her profession, and currently serves as an instructor at the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In this role, she has distinguished herself as an effective trainer in countering violent extremism by teaching executive-level law enforcement officers from foreign countries at conferences and two different International Law Enforcement Academy locations. Ms. Samoska’s most significant accomplishment has been training non-law enforcement individuals to be prepared for emergencies through an interactive training program. This initiative has informed and empowered participants with confidence and skills to handle unexpected situations effectively, directly saving lives, and contributing positively to public safety.

Ms. Samoska’s career with the FBI began in 1996 as an administrative assistant. She subsequently advanced to a paralegal position in 1997, through which she availed herself until 2004. Her expertise and dedication led to her promotion to senior paralegal, a role she held from 2004 to 2006. Subsequently, she was promoted to a project manager, overseeing various initiatives and managing large teams from 2006 to 2014. In 2015, she assumed her current role as an instructor, and from 2019 to 2020, she also served as an assistant to the Legal Attaché at the U.S. Department of State in Kazakhstan. Most recently, in 2024, she took on the additional responsibility of mentoring within the Department of Justice.

Ms. Samoska’s educational background includes an associate degree in paralegal studies from Johnson & Wales University, obtained in 1991. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and police science from Northeastern University, which she earned in 1998. Throughout her career, Ms. Samoska has been involved in industry-related activities such as the FBI’s National Recruitment Team and organizations such as the American Bar Association. Her commitment to professional development is further evidenced by her receipt of the Service to the Citizen award in 2024.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Samoska is deeply engaged in civic activities. In addition to her membership with the Golden Key International Honour Society and Delta Phi Epsilon sorority, she sails, volunteers with race committees at sailing clubs, and participates in events organized by the Special Olympics, such as providing training to athletes. Ms. Samoska finds fulfillment in learning and sharing knowledge to improve lives. She values communication highly and remains committed to making meaningful differences despite obstacles. Looking ahead, she plans to continue her training efforts and has expanded her expertise by enrolling in additional classes focused on active shooter scenarios, medical treatment, and occupant emergency plans. As an independent trainer for these programs, she aims to inform and empower others with essential skills.

Additionally, Ms. Samoska has assisted her division by participating in law enforcement-related conferences either as a guest speaker or as a government liaison. She is eager to support various organizations and communities by identifying ways to inform and empower them. With retirement eligibility approaching, she is excited about exploring mentoring opportunities as well as potential consulting work in the future.
