Dr. Khan began his academic pursuits with a Bachelor of Architecture from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 1995. Subsequently, he received a Master of Architecture in 2000 and a master’s degree in artificial intelligence in 2001 from the Catholic University of Leuven in Leuven, Belgium, and a Doctor of Philosophy in architecture from the University of Hong Kong in 2008.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Khan has made extensive contributions to academic research in architecture. Since 2010, he has authored over 100 publications and approximately 50 conference proceedings. Dr. Khan supports various charities and is involved with Forum 86 USA, reflecting his civic-minded nature. Looking ahead, Dr. Khan aspires to continue developing and mentoring a new generation in architecture. Among the approximately 1,000 students he has taught over his career, he has identified approximately 100 standout individuals and developed a select few into mentees.
