Ms. Mirabella-Moran is a distinguished professional in the fields of marketing, leadership and customer engagement. As president and chief creative officer at MLC Expert, which includes The Medical Marketing Boutique, she has dedicated the past 14 years to helping medical and dental device companies effectively communicate the value of their products to their customers.
In a career that has spanned more than 40 years, Ms. Mirabella-Moran first worked in the entertainment industry and then transitioned to the medical sector. Her career began with the Walt Disney Company, where she worked as a senior accountant in the 1970s and mid-1980s. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in developing the case for Walt Disney to accept credit cards, marking a significant milestone for the company. She then transitioned to Baxter, where she held various roles including cost accounting manager, quality leadership process facilitator, and national sales training manager. Her time at Baxter was marked by her transition from accounting to quality and sales, thanks to the guidance of influential mentors.
In 1991, Ms. Mirabella-Moran successfully transitioned to the medical sector when she took her first position as marketing manager with medical device manufacturer Advanced Interventional Solutions honing her marketing skills in the domestic market. Then joining Sorin Biomedical in 1993, over the next few years she launched over 80 medical devices into the North American cardiovascular marketplace. In 1997, Ms. Mirabella-Moran broadened her scope by accepting an international marketing manager position with medical device manufacturer Boston Scientific. There, she successfully bridged the gap between the United States marketing team and international markets. Her strategic approach led to substantial success in the company’s branding cycle.
In subsequent years, Ms. Mirabella-Moran worked as a global marketing manager for new product development at medical equipment manufacturer Hill-Rom (since acquired by Baxter in 2021) and as director of marketing for the critical care division at Hill-Rom. There, she provided invaluable marketing input that led to the successful launch of a groundbreaking medical surface, earning industry accolades. She then joined RecoverCare LLC as senior director of marketing, product management and business development.
Ms. Mirabella-Moran’s academic background includes an MBA from the University of La Verne in California in 1985 and a Bachelor of Science in accounting and business administration from the same institution in 1982. She attributes her professional success to the invaluable guidance of two mentors: the president of Baxter, Mike Mussallem, during her tenure there in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and a former Baxter colleague, Matthew Jenusaitis, who later became vice president at Boston Scientific.
Throughout her career, Ms. Mirabella-Moran has been recognized with numerous design awards for her work in the medical sector, especially in the area of wound therapy. She also holds two patents, further highlighting her innovative contributions.
In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Mirabella-Moran is actively involved in civic organizations. She is a member of the Medical Marketing Association and has served as a reading mentor at the Daniel Island School in Charleston, South Carolina. Outside of work, Ms. Mirabella-Moran enjoys bicycle riding, hiking and spending time with family. Looking ahead, she plans to gradually pass on her business to her nieces with a goal of retirement.
