    PHILADELPHIA, PA, September 18, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — Todd Michael Mosser has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who. Mr. Mosser owns Mosser Legal PLLC, a prominent law firm based in Philadelphia, where he has served since 2013. With over a decade of experience in his current role, he has established himself as an expert in appellate and post-conviction matters in homicide cases, complex commercial litigation often involving claims of fraud, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty, and representation of clients in various commercial transactions.

Before founding his law firm, Mr. Mosser garnered extensive expertise at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where he served as an assistant district attorney between 2001 and 2012. Mr. Mosser also succeeded in his previous private practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation, class action litigation, and securities litigation.

Mr. Mosser also served as an officer and a lawyer in the United States Army Reserve JAG Corps. As a JAG Officer, Mr. Mosser served as both a prosecutor and as defense counsel, and he also provided legal services, training and instruction to soldiers deploying for overseas missions.

In preparation for his career, Mr. Mosser received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania in 1998, where he played rugby and was inducted into Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities. Mr. Mosser received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2001. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Mosser was inducted into The Order of the Barristers. He was admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 2001 and since then has also been admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the federal district courts in Pennsylvania. Mr. Mosser has also been admitted to practice pro hac vice in state and federal courts throughout the United States.

Mr. Mosser is actively involved in his community as a Little League baseball coach, having coached for eleven years and counting. Mr. Mosser also coaches youth basketball. Mr. Mosser is a Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers member, serving on the Advocacy Committee and the Platform Committee.

Throughout his career, Mr. Mosser has been recognized for his accomplishments, which include securing the exoneration of a client who was wrongfully convicted of first-degree murder. In that case, Mr. Mosser exposed a homicide detective who used abusive, illegal tactics to extract false confessions and statements from individuals. After an extensive investigation into this detective’s background, Mr. Mosser located 12 individuals who testified about the detective’s misconduct.

After hearing this testimony, Mr. Mosser’s cross-examination of the detective in question, and reviewing extensive legal briefing, the Court granted Mr. Mosser’s client a new trial. The District Attorney subsequently dismissed the charges, and Mr. Mosser’s client was set free after having served twelve years of a life sentence. With Mr. Mosser’s assistance, this client filed a civil rights lawsuit against the detective and the city and resolved the case with a substantial settlement. Mr. Mosser’s work in this matter served as the foundation of a subsequent investigation, which culminated in the offending detective being convicted of perjury and obstruction of justice in 2024.

Mr. Mosser has been quoted in the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Philadelphia Daily News, the Legal Intelligencer and has served as a television commentator. Several of his cases have been featured in the press. He was honored as a Rising Star by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers in 2015 and 2016, recognized among the Top 10% by Lawyers of Distinction from 2017 to 2019 and named a Super Lawyer by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers every year between 2020 and 2024.

Mr. Mosser aims to expand his practice by focusing on plaintiff-side commercial litigation involving banks and broker-dealers. He attributes much of his success thus far to his exceptional mentors during his tenure at the District Attorney’s Office, whose guidance has been instrumental in shaping his career trajectory and accomplishments.
