Dr. Bayandalai attributes her success thus far to her resiliency, which has been a driving force throughout her career and personal life.

Dr. Bayandalai is a licensed professional counselor with over a decade of expertise in her field. Since 2017, she has been serving as a clinical program therapist with the Minnesota Department of Correction – Sex Offender Treatment Program, where she has been dedicated to helping incarcerated individuals with their release plans. Additionally, she has served as a licensed professional counselor and clinical supervisor at Fuller Living & Associates LLC in Anoka, Minnesota, since 2021. Dr. Bayandalai, in her role at Fuller Living & Associates, supervises and mentors graduate-level interns and pre-licensure providers to help them prepare for their counseling careers. She teaches them counseling techniques, ethics, and business practices using professional articles, direct observation, and consultations as learning tools. Dr. Bayandalai is also an expert in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy, which is crucial in her clinical practice. Apart from her clinical roles, she has contributed to academia as an adjunct professor at Saint Cloud State University in 2023.

Throughout her career, Dr. Bayandalai has worked in various settings that have shaped her expertise in alcohol and drug rehabilitation. From 2016 to 2017, she was a regional mental health consultant/licensed alcohol and drug counselor for Colonial Management Group. She also served as a qualified rehabilitation consultant intern #1037 with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry Vocational Rehabilitation Unit from 2016 to 2017. Dr. Bayandalai’s early career included several other positions, including a chemical dependency counselor at Sobriety First LLC between 2014 and 2015 and a services coordinator at Quality Care Services from 2010 to 2012. She also garnered experience through several internships.

Dr. Bayandalai’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Technology from Mongolian University of Science and Technology in 2006 and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Dickinson State University in 2010. She also completed graduate coursework in chemical dependency from Saint Cloud State University in 2014 before earning a Master of Science in Rehabilitation and Addiction Counseling on campus in 2017. Furthermore, Dr. Bayandalai received a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology from Capella University in 2023. During her college studies, she received several academic scholarships.

In addition to her degrees, Dr. Bayandalai received numerous professional credentials, including certification as a rehabilitation counselor, board-approved clinical supervisor, clinical trauma professional, dialectical behavior therapist, licensed alcohol and drug counselor, and licensed professional counselor.

Dr. Bayandalai’s dedication to her field is further evidenced by her involvement with several industry-related organizations, including the Association for the Treatment and Prevention of Sexual Abuse and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association. Aside from her professional memberships, she has been a National Omicron Psi Honors Society member since 2009 and a board member and student liaison with Chi Sigma Iota since 2016. Previously, Dr. Bayandalai contributed to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America as a mentor.

As she prepares for the future, Dr. Bayandalai aspires to write books, one of which will be based on her dissertation on lead correctional officers and their motivation for employment. She also aims to share her knowledge through teaching. Dr. Bayandalai attributes her success thus far to her resiliency, which has been a driving force throughout her career and personal life.
