As the managing member until 2018, he provided consulting services for Entergy Nuclear, where he served as a regulatory advisor to the vice president of regulatory affairs. In this capacity, Mr. Cross played a crucial role in the development and installation of processes for team building and program effectiveness.

Prior to his tenure at WACross LLC, Mr. Cross excelled as a nuclear management consultant from 2016 to 2017. From 2010 to 2016, he honed his expertise in nuclear power plant operations and regulatory affairs as the fleet regulatory programs manager at Florida Power and Light/NextEra Energy. Before accepting those critical appointments, Mr. Cross served as the nuclear projects engineering design basis supervisor from 2008 to 2010 and revealed his entrepreneurial spirit by launching Crosservices Incorporated in 2003, which he capably led through 2008.

Mr. Cross initiated his career as a nuclear power supply planning engineer at Tennessee Valley Authority in 1974 before advancing to the role of operations engineer at Crystal River Unit 3 Nuclear Plant from 1975 to 1981. Mr. Cross subsequently accepted the title of nuclear licensing manager at Florida Power Corporation in 1981, and in 1982 founded Southern Technical Services Inc., which he expertly managed through 2002.

Notably, he also contributed as a research assistant in the nuclear engineering department while pursuing his undergraduate degree. Mr. Cross also holds distinct industry credentials that include a senior reactor operator license issued from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for Crystal River Unit 3, an achievement that underscores his technical proficiency and dedication to safety standards in nuclear operations.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Cross has been actively involved in civic-minded organizations. He donates to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tunnel to Towers and the University of Florida’s College of Engineering Alumni Association. He is also a member of several prestigious organizations, including the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society and the Epsilon Lambda Chi Engineering Honor Society. Mr. Cross’s critical contributions have been recognized with an award from the Nuclear Science and Plasma Society for research conducted during his university years.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Mr. Cross enjoys golf, tennis, travel, beach outings and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
