Drawing on extensive experience in the recruitment industry, Mr. Bartlett serves as the assistant director of partnerships and recruiting at Loyola University Maryland, where he is instrumental in fostering employer engagement and acts as the primary liaison for the Sellinger Business School. In this role, he works closely with students in accounting, economics, business and finance and develops campus recruiting teams and initiatives to enhance employment efforts. In addition to conducting workshops on best practices, he meets with students individually to review resumes and cover letters and provide networking advice and job search strategies. His most notable achievement has been helping the University rank #5 for career preparation, #1 among Jesuit institutions and Maryland Schools, and #23 overall in the nation by the Wall Street Journal’s 2025 Best Colleges in the U.S.
Prior to reaching his current position, Mr. Bartlett was a recruiter at Actalent Inc. from 2022 to 2023. During his tenure, he focused on recruiting software, hardware, and electrical engineers and technicians for the aerospace and defense industries. He successfully connected candidates with companies such as Collins Aerospace and Northrop Grumman, collaborating with management to place candidates regularly and enhancing the company’s work cultures.
Mr. Bartlett also served as an investment specialist at Merrill Edge and interned with Bank of America Corporation in their advisor development program for consumer investments in 2020. These experiences provided him with valuable insights into the finance industry, although he ultimately decided to pursue a career more aligned with his strengths in recruitment.
Academically, Mr. Bartlett is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Loyola University Maryland. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in finance from Mount St. Mary’s University, where he graduated in 2021. His academic achievements include receiving the Monsignor Hugh J. Phillips Award and multiple President’s List and Dean’s List awards during his time at Mount St. Mary’s. To augment his education, he holds a securities industry essentials certification from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
Mr. Bartlett attributes his success to the support of his loving wife, parents, legal guardians and sister, who have all been instrumental role models throughout his life. He is also immensely grateful to his finance professor Brad Young, as well as his guitar teacher Billy Simms, both of whom had a vital impact on his education at Mount St. Mary’s University.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Bartlett has been involved in civic activities as a volunteer baseball coach for a children’s team and has participated in various charity work in downtown Baltimore. In his personal life, he enjoys playing the guitar and singing with multiple bands and performing at live shows and released recorded music on January 18th, 2025.
Looking to the future, Mr. Bartlett aims to complete his master’s degree and aspires to become the director of a career center, work in hiring operations, or become a compensation analyst. Additionally, he wants to expand his certifications in human resources to further diversify his skill set.
