Mr. Shaw is a distinguished chemical and principle process engineer with a career spanning over two decades, primarily focused on designing and operating all kinds of chemical plants. He continues to excel in his field. Mr. Shaw demonstrated his expertise as the assistant director of engineering and plant operations at Indorama Ventures PCL in Houston from 2017 to 2023. His responsibilities included overseeing engineering projects and plant operations, significantly contributing to the company’s success where his division grew from 25 to 5,000 persons in five years through company acquisition.

A leader in the industry for over 15 years, Mr. Shaw was instrumental at Lummus CB&I in Houston as a project engineer manager and principal process engineer from 2014 to 2016, where he led numerous projects to successful completion including Axial-Lotte’s ethylene plant. His expertise was previously honed at Burrow Global Inc. as a lead process engineer between 2012 and 2014 and at WorleyParsons as a process engineer from 2007 to 2012. Among Mr. Shaw’s most notable roles was between 2000 and 2005, when he was a resident officer in charge of construction for the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii. During this time, he directed the engineering efforts for the construction of Pearl Harbor, showcasing his exceptional leadership and engineering skills.

Mr. Shaw’s remarkable professional journey is marked by his extensive expertise in process engineering, project management, plant operations, and designing plants. His achievements include obtaining a U.S. patent for surfactant-only microemulsions with hydrophilic linkers, based on his master’s thesis at the University of Oklahoma.

In preparation for his career, Mr. Shaw obtained a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 2000 and 2007, respectively. Mr. Shaw was elected as a graduate student sentator to represent the chemical engineering department at the University of Oklahoma. Beyond these endeavors, he remains active professionally as a member and chair for the South Texas Section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the largest local chapter globally.

Mr. Shaw is actively involved in his community as a volunteer at his local church, took seminary courses at Westminster Seminary based in Philadelphia, managed the renovation of his church. Among other civic participation, was a part of the Norman High swim team who were state champions in 1994.

Eager for the future of his career, Mr. Shaw aims to ascend to the role of vice president within an engineering or chemical company while also completing his master’s degree at the seminary. He seeks to be the best husband to his wife Lauren possible.
