Before pivoting into her new role, Ms. King was a project manager and estimator at her organization from 2008 to 2022. During this period, she honed her project management and estimation skills, contributing significantly to the successful completion of numerous projects for over a decade. Ms. King’s ability to manage complex tasks and coordinate effectively with teams has been instrumental in her professional growth at North Texas Contracting Inc.
Ms. King’s career began as an inspector with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) between 2002 and 2006. This foundational role gave her valuable insights into infrastructure projects and regulatory compliance, which have been crucial throughout her career. Following her tenure at TxDOT, Ms. King worked as an estimator at Archer Western from 2006 to 2008, where she developed her proficiency in cost estimation and project evaluation.
After graduating from Joshua High School in 2000, Ms. King received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and physics from Texas Wesleyan University in 2004. Her strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, cultivated through her academic background, have been pivotal in her career success.
Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. King is actively involved in civic activities that reflect her commitment to community service. She serves as an advisory board member for the Keller Independent School District’s Advanced Learning Center, contributing as a guest lecturer and curriculum evaluator for the trades program. Over the past few years, her involvement has helped bridge the gap between education and industry needs. Additionally, Ms. King has dedicated over 10 years as a volunteer for the special needs program at The Hills Church. As a leader of its respite program, she provides childcare and activities for special needs children and their siblings, allowing parents some relief. Ms. King’s dedication to teaching Bible classes on Sunday mornings further underscores her commitment to supporting her church and the many families within her community and making a positive impact beyond her professional endeavors.
