Mr. Stevenson is an accomplished football coach, athletic director, educator, motivational speaker and author who is currently the Life Coach for the Alabaster City School System, where he serves the administration, faculty staff and students in a number of areas where success matters . He is also part of the football team that has won four straight state championships, two while Mr. Stevenson was serving. The last championship was won by an eighth grade QB whom Stevenson oversees in his MVP-level performances. Stevenson was also a faculty member at Mills College in Fairfield, Alabama. He joined the institution in 2021 and serves as a math teacher, intervention specialist, and vice president of athletic program and scholarship development.
Mr. Stevenson, who was recruited from the University of Tennessee (UT), served as Director of Player Development from 2019-2021, among other departmental and university policies and procedures, and Southeastern Conference (SEC) and National Collegiate Athletic Association rules and regulations . Prior to joining UT, Mr. Stevenson served in the same capacity at the University of Alabama under head coach Nick Saban between 2013 and 2019, where he was instrumental in leading the team to four SEC championships and two national championships.
Prior to moving into college football and academia, Mr. Stevenson gained 10 years of experience as a head football coach, athletic director and as a math teacher at Vigor High School in Prichard, Alabama from 2003 to 2013. The high school led his team to the 2008 season finished with a perfect 15-0 record and two state championship games during his tenure.

His well-known ability to encourage and inspire others has also led to thousands of his students pursuing college educations after high school, many of whom have also received athletic scholarships in football and later pursued careers in teaching and coaching.
A talented novelist and poet, Mr. Stevenson published a collection of motivational poems entitled Inspirations in Life: Inspired by Faith, Family, Friends, and Football through Whitman Publishing LLC in 2018.
Mr. Stevenson received a Presidential Scholarship after graduating from Huffman High School in Birmingham, Alabama. He was highly educated, graduating from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics magna cum laude, followed by a Masters of Education degree in Math Education. He also received certification in Professional Education Leadership and Administration from Samford University in Homewood, Alabama. Specifically, Mr. Stevenson is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.
In recognition of his academic achievements, Mr. Stevenson has twice received the Teacher of the Year Award and the 5A Coach of the Year Award. He also received a Champion of Life Award and the Lefty Anderson Service Through Coaching Award.
