The team also includes some independently licensed mental health and chemical dependency counselors and licensed independent social workers.
Ms. Brugger formerly worked as a FIRST team leader for TCN Behavioral Health Services from 2017 to 2023. She was also employed by Catholic Charities as a clinical supervisor between 2015 and 2017. During her recent years with TCN, Ms. Brugger was responsible for launching and managing the First Episode Psychosis Team. FIRST is recognized as an evidence-based approach used in the early identification and treatment of first-episode psychosis.
In preparation for her career in the mental health field, Ms. Brugger obtained a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Xavier University in 2006 and a Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling from Wright State University in 2009. She received added credentials as a licensed professional clinical counselor with supervision designation and certification as an eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapist.
