Ms. Cecconi’s transition into consumer relations and client services with Technivorm-Moccamaster USA Inc. between 2019 and 2022 showcased her versatility in managing diverse responsibilities. Previously, she served as a project manager at Encore Event Technologies from 2017 to 2019 while also contributing her expertise as a coach for the Junior Olympic Team of synchronized swimming with USA Artistic Swimming. Her ability to excel in both corporate and athletic arenas highlights her dynamic skill set and strong leadership.
From 2004 to 2010, Ms. Cecconi began her illustrious career in entertainment as an original cast performer in “Le Rêve” at Wynn Las Vegas. Her tenure with Cirque du Soleil as the head synchronized swimming coach and choreographer from 2010 until 2017 was marked by significant achievements, including her role as a liaison with headquarters to implement innovative techniques that optimized performance efficiency. Her contributions have been recognized by industry-related organizations such as the International Association of Venue Managers and the International Olympic Committee.
Instrumental in shaping Ms. Cecconi’s strategic thinking and leadership skills was her academic background. She earned a Master of Science in philosophy from the Sapienza University of Rome in 2004, followed by a Bachelor of Science in business management from the University of Phoenix in 2010. She also holds numerous certifications covering subjects such as project management, general industry safety and health, guest services, professional tourism, fall protection training, scuba, crowd management, performance enhancement, synchronized swimming and more.
Reflecting on her career, Ms. Cecconi attributes her success to the strong values instilled in her by her parents and the inner strength that has always motivated her to prevail over seemingly impossible challenges. She expressed this drive early on as a professional synchronized swimmer who participated in the Olympic Games in 1996 and 2000 and served as the team captain for Italy.
The life achievement that holds the deepest significance for Ms. Cecconi is the extraordinary bond shared with her daughter, Giulia Cecconi. As a single mother who immigrated to the United States at the age of 29, Ms. Cecconi has embraced many roles in Giulia’s life. Their journey has been challenging without extended family nearby for support, but despite numerous obstacles, they have built a close-knit family bound by resilience and love. Although they have experienced difficult setbacks, they consistently emerge stronger. Every day, Ms. Cecconi is reminded of the strength she and her daughter cultivated together, and it is their bond that keeps her going.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Cecconi’s civic involvement extends to supporting Olympic athletes, gender rights initiatives and the Doernbecher Gender Clinic. Her accolades include an OLY Certificate of Recognition from the World Olympians Association in 2017 and being a seven-time bronze medal recipient for overall athletic contribution at national and international competitions awarded by the Italian National Olympic Committee in 2000. She has also been honored as a Knight of the Republic by the Italian President of the Republic, Carlo Azeglio Ciampi.
