A house in Immingham turned 1500th being redeveloped as part of an annual £6 million investment in the area.
Louise Spalding, who has lived in her terraced house on Blair Walk for 13 years, has completely transformed her kitchen thanks to Lincolnshire Housing Partnership (LHP)’s partnership with EQUANS, the new name for ENGIE’s regeneration and service activities.
Speaking of the work, Louise said: “I’m more than happy with my new kitchen, I can’t stop looking at it. The team consulted with me on the design of my kitchen and I was able to choose from a variety of colors and elements to make it work for me. The people who installed it were amazing and the work they did really made a big difference.”
Investing in more homes
A further 700 properties in North East Lincolnshire will benefit from the refurbishment. Residents who are eligible for the work will receive new bathrooms, kitchens and central heating systems, as well as new windows and doors to keep their homes warmer.
Sean Corcoran, Regional Director at EQUANS, said: “We are excited to be working with LHP on this massive improvement effort that is truly transforming people’s homes and creating new spaces for them to enjoy. This is a significant milestone to achieve on this project and it is great to see the impact it is having on residents.”
Danny Wyer, Corporate Head of Assets at LHP, said: “We are committed to investing in our clients’ homes to ensure they meet the Decent Homes Standard.
“We are in the process of reviewing our long-term programs that will be shared with clients so they have clear guidance as to when their homes will experience major improvements.”
