Patti Golden Lauded for Significant Contributions to the Tourism and Events Sector

Ms. Golden has established a distinguished career in the events industry, currently serving as vice president of events at Evelyn Hill Inc. Evelyn Hill Inc. is the authorized concessionaire for the National Park Service at the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island National Monument for the past 93 years providing dining and retail for millions of visitors annually. Since assuming this role in 2009, Ms. Golden has been instrumental in branding the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island as monumental venues available for private events. Conducting site tours, networking, overseeing sales and bringing events to life on the iconic Statue of Liberty Island and Ellis Island. Ms. Golden is dedicated to promoting these national treasures while continuing to preserve their historical significance under the guidelines of the National Park Service.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Golden was the director of sales for the NY Landmark Collection which included monumental event venues such as the United Nations Delegates Dining Room, Ellis Island National Monument, 55 Water Street and Citifield with Aramark from 2003 to 2009. She began her career with Aramark after college, starting as an assistant in the catering sales office at Bear Mountain State Park. Through hard work and determination, she advanced to the role of sales director before transferring to Ellis Island. Her tenure at Aramark laid the foundation for her expertise in managing high-profile venues and events.

Ms. Golden’s professional journey is further enriched by her active involvement in industry-related organizations, such as Meeting Professionals International (MPI), International Live Events Association (ILEA) and NYC Tourism & Conventions. Furthermore, her contributions to the field have been recognized with prestigious accolades, including the Hall of Legends Award from the International Live Events Association (ILEA) in 2024 and the Women in Tourism Award for Cultural Arts and Museums from City Guide New York. She is particularly proud of the former award, which she had known about as a prestigious honor for many years. Being recognized for her leadership, exemplary achievements and tenure in the special events industry by such prestigious peers was her biggest honor.

Academically, Ms. Golden holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Mercy University, earned in 1993. Beyond her academic achievements, she is actively involved with civic-minded organizations, such as the CYO and JCC of Rockland. Overall, she attributes much of her professional success to her drive and passion.

In her personal life, Ms. Golden cherishes spending time with her two children and enjoys activities such as yoga and traveling. Looking ahead, she aims to grow Evelyn Hill Inc.’s business back to its former prominence while overcoming challenges associated with new contracts and rebranding efforts. With America’s 250th anniversary and other significant events on the horizon, she is poised to continue producing once-in-a-lifetime experiences at these historic venues.
