She founded her namesake firm in 2008 focusing primarily on residential renovations in Manhattan.
Ms. McDonald’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Arizona in 1972 and 1973, respectively. Her academic achievements have played a crucial role in shaping her career, providing a strong foundation in business principles that complement her creative pursuits. Additionally, Ms. McDonald is a certified public accountant in New York.

Eager for his firm’s future, Ms. McDonald envisions growing Paula McDonald Design Build & Interiors to approximately 10 employees to foster a strong team dynamic while expanding into townhouse projects and similar ventures. Despite challenges posed by the current real estate market, she remains optimistic about transforming existing inventory rather than pursuing new construction.
