He also performs complex endovascular procedures on patients suffering from peripheral vascular disease at CVI, an outpatient laboratory at the practice.
Currently dr. Zakir Director of High-Risk PCI and Research at Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas University Hospital. He is also Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Rutgers Medical School, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and is involved in research and education. As a leader in interventional cardiology, he serves as principal investigator on several clinical trials aimed at improving the treatment of patients with coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial disease and venous disease. dr Zakir is the author of numerous papers and invited to lecture at conferences around the world.
