Mr. Strider is a veteran engineer who joined PeopleTec Inc. in September 2022 as Vice President of Emerging Programs. With over 35 years of public service experience, he is a hypersonic technology expert responsible for the company’s R&D strategy development. In addition, Mr. Strider is tasked with supporting the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) hypersonic defense program.

In addition to his industry contributions, Mr. Strider is a board member of the Air, Space, and Missile Defense Association and the Hypersonic Technology and Systems Conference. Mr. Strider serves in the same capacity for the National Fire Control Symposium.
Prior to joining PeopleTec Inc., Mr. Strider was Associate Director of the US Army Hypersonic Project Office in Huntsville from 2019 to 2022. He was also Supervisor General Engineer at U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command in Huntsville attached to Advanced Systems Test and Development between 2010 and 2019. Additionally, Mr. Strider gained expertise as Supervisor General Engineer on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency from 2005 to 2010 and between 1991 and 2005 as General Engineer for Space Missile Defense Command Earlier in his career, Mr. Strider taught, specifically as a high school educator.
Civicly, Mr. Strider frequently supports Still Serving Veterans and the North Alabama Food Bank. He is also a parishioner of Willowbrook Baptist Church.
Inspired by his father, who was an aeronautical engineer who worked for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration in the early 1960s, Mr. Strider recalls becoming fascinated with the industry growing up. After high school, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education and a Master of Science in Agricultural Education from Auburn University and Alabama A&M University, respectively. Mr. Strider continued his studies and completed a second Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Huntsville. Mr. Strider is Level 3 certified in Test and Evaluation and Systems Planning, Research, Development and Engineering and Level 2 certified in Program Management through Defense Acquisition University. He also received certificates as a chartered house builder.
To stay aligned in his industry, Mr. Strider is a member of the Association of Aeronautic Engineers. He is also active as a member of the Army Field Artillery Association. Mr. Strider has received multiple US Army Civilian Service Awards for outstanding contributions to engineering.
