FRANKFURT, GERMANY, December 29, 2022 /24-7press release/ — In its current issue 6/2022, the German specialist magazine GuG (Landstücksmarkt und Immobilienwert) has published a specialist article by Ronny Kazyska on the evaluation of high-rise buildings in Germany. Before that, the specialist journal “Der Immobilienbewerter” had presented the contents of Ronny Kazyska’s new specialist book entitled “The Valuation of Skyscrapers in International Markets”. The technical article in the current issue of GuG 6/2022 is dedicated to the German market in detail. It contains content that is not part of the book on the international assessment of skyscrapers.

In the current issue 6/2022 of the specialist journal GuG (land market and property value), Ronny Kazyska deals with the special real estate high-rise buildings with a focus on the German market in a multi-page article. It describes why local city planners should pay more attention to the possible development of high-rise buildings and skyscrapers in urban centers in the future. The current tower inventory in Germany is listed and new developments named. The chances and risks as well as the advantages and disadvantages of skyscraper investments are analyzed. The peculiarities of determining the land value of high-rise buildings with recommendations are shown. The overall service life of skyscrapers is viewed differently from an economic and technical point of view. Recommendations are given for the individual management costs, which include administration and maintenance costs as well as the risk of rent loss. The special features of the operating costs are explained. A modernization risk is discussed. The rent levels, purchase prices and multipliers in German high-rise buildings are shown. The essay ends with an exemplary assessment of a skyscraper in the international financial metropolis of Frankfurt am Main.

Wolfgang Kleiber is the author of numerous publications and standard works on property valuation. He is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) and teaches as a professor at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. In addition, Kleiber was a lecturer at several other universities and academies, including the Bergische Universität Wuppertal, the European Business School (EBS) in Oestrich-Winkel and the German Real Estate Academy (DIA) in Freiburg.

Ronny Kazyska also informed about the sustainability of skyscrapers this year.
