MIAMI, FL, January 18, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — Sandra B. Ampudia, MS, ESE, has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After earning a degree in early childhood education followed by a Bachelor of Science in speech and language pathology from Manuela Beltrán University, Ms. Ampudia established a private consultation enterprise in her home country of Colombia, through which she focused on providing specialized assistance to children with disabilities. Concurrently, she gained experience teaching at a private early childhood institution in inclusive settings. After applying herself in the education sector in Colombia, she moved to the United States to establish her own company and pursue further education.

Through gaining classroom experience and providing social-emotional training to teachers to address challenging behaviors in young children, Ms. Ampudia was motivated to coach educators further and conduct research focused on enhancing educators’ leadership to assist children in developing social-emotional skills; thus, she founded Sabiam Consultant Corporation in 2014. As the founder and president, she is devoted to supporting early childhood educators and other professionals in the academic field, offering professional development training and technical assistance support. For nearly a decade, she and her company’s work has held space for a cooperative process between schools’ staff, teachers, and families in an effort to promote success in children’s lives.

In pursuing further education in the U.S., Ms. Ampudia graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in general psychology. She earned an Utmost Distinction with a Master of Science in Exceptional Student Education, both from Albizu University. After completing her studies and working as a researcher at the University of Miami, she continued teaching, moving to the university-level as an adjunct professor at the Florida International University (FIU) in 2019, a position she still holds. The year after, she embarked on another business venture and joined The Discovery Source in 2020, through which she serves as the Director of Professional Development.

As a result of her professional accomplishments and expertise, Ms. Ampudia has served as a keynote speaker at Palm Beach College. Having been invited to present at various conferences, she recognized the demand for her expertise and seized the opportunity to serve as a freelance consultant and share her valuable insights to a wide range of organizations as an independent contractor. Ms. Ampudia finds deep satisfaction in teaching educators and empowering individuals who have a far-reaching impact on the future and play a crucial role in shaping the lives of children.

Outside of her educator-focused businesses and time in the university classroom, Ms. Ampudia has served as a board member since 2015 for the Miami is Kind Foundation, a nonprofit organization with a macaroon baking business that employs young adults with autism and other disabilities to promote their inclusion in the workforce. In addition, she is the co-chair of the Social Emotional Workgroup, a committee of the Young Children with Special Needs and Disabilities Council, which she has been involved with since 2008. Ms. Ampudia is also a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the Cradle of Assessors, a group of professionals dedicated to conducting classroom observations to ensure the implementation of high-quality and effective teaching practices.

In all she has applied herself to and cultivated, Ms. Ampudia credits her success to her persistent effort and her ability to methodically break down and achieve incremental victories in order to reach her overarching goals. As she aims to expand her presence in the educational sector, she is focused on actively participating in conferences, conventions, and various public forums to advocate for the crucial significance of nurturing children’s social-emotional development during their formative years.
