While cannabis is still not legal in Spain, it is the only one in the world that allows sharing and consuming this substance in one of the registered cannabis club.
Cannabis Social Clubs (CSC) are non-profit organizations where cannabis is consumed by its members. In Spain there are hundreds of social clubs scattered throughout the country, which are supported by more than half a million members, but it is not always easy to go to them because you do not know where they are or the requirements to be part of them.
The ShivaMap project is developed as a free means, without any type of membership or subscription, so that users can find and contact a cannabis social club anywhere in Spanish, finding a location accessible to everyone.
Thus, it becomes the first functional and free reference cannabis social clubs map in Spain that currently has a record of more than 350 verified cannabis clubs to report their address – via Google Maps – and contact information for those who want to be able to access their facilities during, for example, their holidays. Geolocation is enough for the page to suggest the closest ones.
“Currently, our website has a traffic of more than a thousand visits and clicks a day, making it the reference page not only for social cannabis clubs that want to contribute their grain of sand by offering spaces but also as active and essential agents in the dissemination of information and education about cannabis” they explain on the website.
Where are these venues most sought after?
According to ShivaMap data, users are requesting information in four Spanish zones mainly: cannabis social club Barcelona and Madrid as year-round centres and, when summer comes, Tenerife , Alicante, Malaga and other holiday destinations.
The mission of this website is to make it easier for end users to find venues and professionals in the cannabis sector, giving them the option of contacting them with the assurance that all the markers on the map have been verified by the ShivaMap team.
