Watford band Uncharted Territory Music are excited to share details
of their third charity single, ‘Day by Day’. The song was recorded
locally at Sanctuary Studios and released on Valentine’s Day, and
will be sharing the love with London-based charity Music4Children.
As
with the band’s previous releases, its founder Gee Singh will give
the song’s chosen charity any of his own personal income that is
generated from the single’s first year of streams and sales.
Music4Children has decided to split these funds between its work with
learning disabled and neurodiverse young people, and the children’s
shelter it supports in Nepal.
Music4Children
has been working with learning disabled and neurodiverse young people
since 2016. This is when it first partnered Quarterdeck Youth Centre
in Margate (renamed Northdown Road Family Hub in 2024), while its
work with Somers Town Youth Centre in Camden started more recently
(2022).
Support
for the shelter in Nepal began from before the start of construction
through to its opening in 2014, and has continued since then. The
shelter currently cares for 23 disadvantaged girls, and is owned and
managed locally by Help Nepal Network. It will also be the
beneficiary of any charitable funds generated by Uncharted Territory
Music’s first single, ‘Spiritual Quest’, which was itself inspired by
a visit to the Himalayas.
Gee Singh said “I am delighted
to be aligning Uncharted Territory Music, once again, with the team
at Music4Children. I hope the streams from our new song, ‘Day by
Day’, will raise enough to make even a small difference for some of
the projects that Music4Children are involved with. Please help by
streaming and sharing the music, to spread the love”
Gavin Watts of Music4Children said
“We are really grateful to Gee and his fellow band members for
their support. Funding has been harder to find recently, so any
efforts to boost this is extremely welcome. We hope everyone can
check out the music and add it to their playlists.”
