It’s time to shake off the winter blues, and what better way to do that than with a rousing concert from Coventry’s own Heart of England Cooperative Concert Orchestra.
This spring the orchestra will play a concert to raise funds for Global Care. This international Christian children’s charity is at the forefront of the fight against global poverty.
Book the concert in your calendar at 3pm on the 18thth March at Queens Road Baptist Church, Coventry. The program includes the Coventry Suite, Liberty Bell March, “Tonight” from West Side Story, Strauss’ watercolor waltz, In the Hall of the Mountain King – and many more.
In its 105th year, the Orchestra has been bringing music to Coventry since 1917 and is proudly sponsored by the Heart Of England Cooperative Society. The orchestra practically continued throughout the lockdowns and were overjoyed to get back together to play in 2021. Last year it raised over £2,000 for a variety of charities including local food banks and Coventry and Warwickshire Mind.
If you’ve made a New Year’s resolution to dust off your instrument and play in 2023, why not contact the orchestra to see if you can come to a rehearsal? www.coventrycooporchestra.org.uk
