A YouGov survey found that consumers embrace the use of AI and prefer its use in entertainment (54%), shopping (51%), healthcare (48%) and advertising (44%).

According to AI-led marketing agency neural edge2023 is expected to be the year that AI becomes mainstream as more companies invest in AI technology.

From chatbots to automated customer service, AI is becoming an increasingly popular tool for businesses. It can be used to provide more accurate and reliable results than traditional methods of data analysis, identify trends, identify customer preferences and predict future demand for a product or service.

Neural Edge believes that the use of AI will continue to grow in the coming years as companies look for ways to streamline their operations and provide better customer experiences.

This is backed up by a UK government report on the use of AI in business, which is roughly estimated 15% of companies are already using some form of AIthis is expected to grow to 22.7% by 2025.

Consumer interest in AI is also growing steadily. Google Trends data shows that interest in AI has steadily increased in 2022, peaking in late 2022 when a trend emerged on social media posting the results of the Lensa AI app.

Lensa takes your selfies and generates multiple variations in different styles, taking photo editing to a whole new level. Several celebrities jumped on the bandwagon, fueling even greater interest in the possibilities of AI.

The result is that AI is no longer viewed as a futuristic technology, but as an everyday tool that companies use to drive innovation and success, as well as more unique and engaging customer experiences. However, consumers still have concerns.

81% of respondents to the YouGov survey indicated that security and online privacy are also very important elements to think about when considering the use of AI.

According to Neural Edge, security concerns are understandable but can be addressed with best practice guidelines and increased transparency into how companies are using AI to the benefit of their customers. For example, it’s important to explain how the data will be used and why it’s needed, and to provide customers with an easy way to contact you if they have concerns.

If 2022 was the year that AI made headlines, 2023 will be the year that it goes mainstream.

Businesses should leverage the potential of AI to better serve their customers and stay ahead of the competition. However, you must also ensure that security, transparency and privacy are paramount to building consumer trust.

With investments in AI rapidly growing around the world, 2023 will be a pivotal year for the technology and its adoption in business and consumer life.

As the Neural Edge CEO says, “AI will revolutionize the way businesses operate and deliver services in 2023 with greater efficiency, accuracy, cost savings and customer satisfaction. The possibilities are seemingly endless – it is now up to companies to embrace this technology and realize its potential.”
