Mr. Brink, a distinguished leader in the mechanical and plumbing industry, has dedicated over 38 years to his profession. Since 2020, he has been the chief executive officer of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) in Rockville, Maryland. As such, Mr. Brink has been instrumental in providing labor relations, advocacy and education while fostering networking opportunities across the industry. His expertise in association management and labor relations has been pivotal in advancing the interests of MCAA’s members.

Before his present position, Mr. Brink served as the chief operating officer of MCAA from the end of 2018 to 2020. Throughout his tenure with the organization, he has played a crucial role in managing relationships with end users in the semiconductor industry and negotiating terms with international unions. Mr. Brink’s leadership was particularly impactful during the COVID-19 pandemic when MCAA significantly increased its educational efforts by revamping delivery methods and engaging previously uninvolved members.

From 2007 to 2018, Mr. Brink was the executive vice president of the Mechanical & Service Contractors Association of Eastern Pennsylvania. In this capacity, he contributed to significant progress for contractors and local unions in Philadelphia. Mr. Brink’s earlier career included serving as the chief executive officer of C. H. Stone Plumbing Co. Inc. between 1986 and 2005, a company started by his grandfather in 1924, where he honed his skills in mechanical contracting, labor relations and began his relationship with MCAA as a contractor member and volunteer national board member.

After graduating from Loyola High School, Mr. Brink received a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Santa Clara University in 1986. He also completed coursework at the MCAA Advanced Leadership Institute.

Mr. Brink has been active in numerous industry-related organizations, including founding the California Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Association (CPMCA) and serving on the strategic planning committee for UA/MCAA and the California Building Standards Commission. He is also part of an strategic alliance with The Association for Union Construction (TAUC), the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association (SMACNA), and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), is a board member of the National Coordinating Committee for Multiemployer Plans, and the Construction Labor Research Council, and sits on the Piping Pals Committee for the United Association (UA), among other organizations. Beyond his professional affiliations, Mr. Brink has shared his insights as a guest speaker both in person and on various podcasts.

Beyond his professional life, Mr. Brink is committed to civic engagement as a volunteer with Convoy of Hope and Saint John of God. He is also passionate about supporting breast cancer awareness and contributing to charitable causes alongside his wife. For his contributions, Saint John of God has recognized him with the Saint Benedict Menni Award.

Mr. Brink takes great pride in the relationships he has built over the years and remains open to opportunities that allow him to assist even more individuals and families within the construction industry. Looking ahead, he aims to help MCAA serve more of the unionized, mechanical construction and service industry by developing resources that enhance competitiveness and productivity for member contractors.
