Tokyo, Japan – Toei Animation has formed a strategic business partnership with Toei Animation layers, an international creative technology studio. The two companies are entering Web3 with a new IP, the NFT-enabled franchise TheDecaDena project that combines world-class storytelling with cutting-edge blockchain technology.
TheDecaDen highlights Strata’s creative development and technical execution in the Web3 space, resulting in an interactive, dynamic experience where users work together to help characters grow over time. TheDecaDen is also the pilot franchise for Strata’s new Metaverse infrastructure platform Baunsu. with Baunsu, TheDecaDen Assets unlock new utilities and applications across all Metaverse platforms.
TheDecaDen is an ambitious endeavor featuring seven new animated characters who undergo a gradual evolution from floating souls to gods. Each exists as an active Twitter account, whose powers are determined by their passion and the number of their followers. The growing community of NFT owners and fans supports this ever expanding universe and communicates directly with the characters on Twitter. Over time the community around TheDecaDen receive opportunities to participate in new project developments in Web 3.0. The partnership enables the first use case for Strata’s Baunsu technology in the entertainment industry. The event marks an exciting moment for Japan’s creative industries as it positions the country at the forefront of innovation in the Web3 industry. It connects the country to the rest of the world through digital storytelling.

The next milestone of the project will be launched in Spring 2023, coinciding with the cherry blossom season in the project’s spiritual home of Kyoto.
