Ms. Aston-Duff’s journey with Angelo Gordon began in 2008 when she was hired as a sales and marketing specialist. She was the first person brought onto the team to be client-facing outside of the United States, marking a significant milestone in her career. Prior to this appointment, she had an extensive tenure at Bear Stearns & Co., where she served from 1991 to 2008 in several key positions, including co-head of global equity sales in Europe and senior managing director. Her leadership in these roles culminated in her assuming the position of head of their equity sales business in Europe.

Before her impactful career at Bear Stearns & Co., Ms. Aston-Duff spent three years with Prudential-Bache Securities, honing her skills and laying the groundwork for her future successes. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her various contributions to the industry, including being featured among the 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds in 2010.

Ms. Aston-Duff’s academic background includes coursework in business studies at The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in English language and literature from Queen’s University, completed in 1986. Her expertise is further enhanced by her membership in several industry-related organizations, such as the Insurance Women’s Investment Network and the 100 Women in Hedge Fund.

Ms. Aston-Duff attributes her overall success to her hard work, teambuilding, collaboration, and a strong commitment to her profession. Beyond her professional achievements, she also has been a regular recruitment speaker at the American School in London.

In her personal life, Ms. Aston-Duff enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, playing tennis, swimming, and traveling. Looking to the future, she plans to focus on building an insurance practice for TPG alongside three other teammates, aiming to make major contributions to the firm’s future growth.
